So, it finally came. And I was much happier with what I got. It ended up being they sent me a non serrated version, and It's sheath wasnt the one everyone complained about, it was the nylon version, very stout sheath and the very same for the knife.(sorry for the first blurry shot, had a bad spill in paintball and im still paying for it)

Gonna give it a little testing tonight, see how it whittles and what it can do. Though I'm pretty sure it will work fine. Thinner blade with a great edge.

ya gotta stop tempting me dude. i'm almost afraid to open your threads in the future.

i just bought a ka-bar 7 inch usmc and a buck 110 in the span of a week! :D

btw that knife looks deadly, nice score. i'm lookin forward to one of your famous Fonly Reviews!

cheers

Great lookin knife Fonly and IMHO a better option than the serrated version !!!

I have a Nimravus that I bought back in like 1999. The one I have is ats34 and the blade is very brittle. I got lots of small chips on the edge. Otherwise I like the design a lot.

same here... i bought mine when they first came out... it is a cool design, comfortable in just about any hand position....

I bought one of those from another forum member. I like it alot, even though I haven't used it very much. I have the kydex sheath with the lock. It seems to be ok but the lock doesn't hold very well. Great buy!

Very cool Fonly. I've look at the Nimravus for years. I really like the current version of the knife. Perhaps someday...

Now im interested. What are some fancy, but well working benchmade folders?
I dont know alot about folders, so what would you guys recomend. I would definetly want something with a plain edge. some thing not overly huge, but built well.

Benchmade Mini Griptilian - either the standard 154cm or the Cabelas in D2.

Current models that have been well received are the Benchmade 940 series, and the Benchmade 710.

The Benchmade 520/525 has similar scales to those displayed on your BM Nim. Be warned though, that those traction grooves have a reputation for wearing holes in pants pockets.

Discontinued, but sometimes available at some knife stores is the Benchmade 730 Ares. It's my favorite Benchmade folder, and designed by Allen Elishewitz, the same man who designed your Nimravus.

Do you diffrences in this version over the full sized, or is it just size. Im glad you said this guy, I can get it fairly cheap here.

Just so you know Cabellas will not ship to Canada- "knives are sharp and dangerous weapons" was basically the response I got.
From what I have felt the mini grip is a bit small for me for outdoor use but the full size was good in my hands. If you can get it cheap though then not much ventured not much lost!

The mini grip is just smaller. I EDC mine and I chose it because I wanted something smaller than my previous knife. It all depends on what size you want. Both are excellent in my opinion, and reasonably priced. I use mine near the water, so I got it in 154cm.
