Hello all,

This is my first post here, and it seems to be the place to ask questions about blades. So I was looking at the Benchmade NRA Hinderer and noticed that some places sell with 154cm steel, and others sell with 440c steel. which is the better blade. I will be using for camping / hunting abd skinning.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I tried to search, but every time ended up on a blank white page. maybe I did something wrong.

If you get stuck with 440C, you've still got good steel,
so don't let that be a deal-breaker.

I have very good experiences with Benchmade 154cm.

Surprisingly durable.

I have 2 of the nra 12550 limited edition knives and both say D2 on the blades and I read people say the steel is 440C or 154cm... I researched on Google and could not find conclusive information, perhaps they used all 3 steels... Mine are numbers 0133 & 0234...
