benchmade osborne 900 series

I have the 940 w/green handle and reverse tanto type blade. One of my favorite in an EDC. Just carries so well. Mine is 154CM and holds a great edge. I have had good luck with BM 154CM. I am thinking of getting a 930.

I have several in the 94x style. One has been my constant companion for many years now. If I'm not carrying an XM-18, you can be sure that there is a Benchamde 94x knife on my somewhere. It is hands down my favorite production folder. The handle is slim, well designed, and feels great and the blade is a great shape for me. Stay tuned to this forum, I am planning a little photo tribute soon.

You can't go wrong with any of the 94x knives. They have been around for a while. The 960 is also a very nice knife if you want something a little more dressy. Most if not all of the 960s have D2 Blades.

Don't know if those of you with a 940/960 have seen this,
but if you need a lanyard hole plate these work well...

Benchmade 960 Osborne w/ D2 Blade - Great workmanship - makes for a fine EDC

I just bought a 950 and love it. As soon as I put it into my hand I knew I would buy it.

I have a 921 and love it lots. I like the main wharny blade, and I like the little blade for coring apples, doodling in wood, you name it. That said, a lot of people probably don't like having a second blade. You'd think second blade would cut into your hand while you use the main blade, but because of the shape and thinness of the knife, it doesn't happen when you grip it.

If I (knock on wood this never happens) lost my 921 I have little doubt in my mind that I'd get either the Kulgera or the 940 as an EDC replacement, with the nod going to the Kulgera. I'm absolutely sold on the lock mechanism and its handiness, the ergonomics of the whole series, and the very respectable looks that lets you wear and use the knives in any environment from opera house cheese cutting to river bank fish gut sloshing.
