The knife fires well with a smooth action. The blade is a little slower going back into the handle than coming out, but Benchmade assured me that this is normal. One small mark on the blade near the tip from the blade contacting the internals of the handle (also normal for these). I didn't care for the factory edge, so I hit it with the Edge Pro to 400 grit and some diamond compound.
