So many great Benchmades here. I picked up one of the 2012 Shot Show Onslaughts. Love this knife.

That REI 530 looks very familiar DJ. So close to the other 16/30 version I own that I wonder how this affects the value of it.

Others thoughts as well ......... the only difference is I think the cf on this one is a little differently textured.
I think BM screwed up on this .......... I dont feel there much different.
So now theres two LE,s basically the same. ........ 30 pcs. run and a 175 pcs. run
I wish BM would at least tell us something.
I believe the KW,s version has nothing to do with BM so they can make what they want , KW,s special ordered theirs. I dont know.

Agreed. How to really upset fans is to produce a very limited run of 30 pieces, let numerous examples not pass basic QC before shipping, and then make another NUMBERED run of 175? Out of curiosity, If anyone at Benchmade listens, why do this at all?? I hope for the sake of the REI buyers out there that their version is better made than the BKC Forum knives were. Edited to say IMO that's bad business and a good way to lose customers.

Blade steel is S30V and heres a pic of the different texture on the handle.

Doesnt the LE of thirty have spacers .......... this one doesnt.

No DJ, the scales aren't open just like the originals and the 30 piece limited.

The REI 530 looks good :thumbup:

I'm glad they milled the herringbone pattern into the scales, adds some nice detail.

Overall clean slicer, and perfect for IWB

Whether this LE was conceived mistakingly/intentionally, I wouldn't mind either way.. If I owned the KW LE version, I would simply throw it on fleabay, and pick up one of these.. Would be nice if BM replied
