Thank you for the info and the link, Manowar. The work looks outstanding. $100 seems very reasonable for the material and workmanship. Very, very nice.

Hey guys, kinda new around here. Been using the sale and services forums for a while, finally decided to jump in on the good discussion! Here's my baby: 710-142 with a 710DLC-1 blade. Currently out getting a custom clip done that won't block the light coming through the liners. Also slightly redundant as she's my signature lol.

Go to Costco. I think a lot of people don't realize that they have a bunch of different models now. My brother got a more basic one that was < $250 I believe - the fancy functions are nice, but not necessary. Blendtec is another good one I hear. But yeah, I'm not sure if anyone pays the prices listed on their website… The one I use was not the $650 it's listed as on the website.

I think we've checked Costco, but I'll swing by on my way home from work and have a look.

She's been eyeing them up for a couple years now, I dont know how she has so much restraint! :D

We have a couple Westinghouse and immersion blenders she uses, but it seems like she is Vitamix or nothing at this point.

They eliminate the need for other things, IMO. Very versatile. I believe they carry a 7 year manufacturer warranty, however, Costco will probably replace it 10 years down the road if need-be. I remember mom going through lots of blenders while growing up.

It was a good week. Picked up 4 new additions to my little but growing collection :) Wish I could take better pictures to do them justice. Here's 2 of them.
