benchmade regular or small Griptilian

I was just searching ebay and some grips popped up in 440c
and I thought that the grip had liners made out of 410 stainless

I don't think the grip has liners at all. It is the mini grip. Some of the steel used on Grip and Mini grips are 440C, in the past. Good steel.

Both have stainless liners.

The argument about s30v is never ending, you could buy the 154cm version and be very happy with it.

If you can only afford one---get the full sized one.

Heck---I'm only 5'8'' and find the Mini too small----even though I own 2 of them.

Agree with Silverdagger. I also have many knives...I'm a professional and go to work in a suit everyday. Always carry at least a small knife with me every day I am in a suit...usually a kershaw chive. Also have many knives for those bluejean days...and until I got the Mini grip carried the Kershaw Scallion or Leek....but after I got the Mini grip it has been my favorite knife. It was alot sharper out of the box than the kershaws which were fairly sharp. However, simply dragging the blade across my thumb with the the mini grip cut me. Didn't expect it as no other out of the knife box has ever done that.

Though the kershaws are AOs, the mini grip opens just as fast with a flick of the wrist and a little push on the thumbstud. Am getting another one, the gray one, with thumb stud and plain edge that I found online. This website said they had it....and have found no other gray plain edges with a thumbstud.

I thought the purple and green (not olive drab) mini grips were out of production, but there is a website (geekshop.com) that has them listed on their site.

This knife is awesome for the average person. As another person wrote, if you are a heavy knife user then kick it up to a full size griptilian. If not, the mini grip will do whatever you need.

Just bought the Mini Grip in D2 from Cabellas. $74. Thought it would complement the Kershaw JYDII for more refined carry.

Mini or full-sized? I prefer a Mini for pocket carry but carry a full sized in a belt pouch.
I carry a full sized when on duty and for outdoors use off duty, but find a Mini is ideal for day to day carry, usually teamed with a SAK.

For me the best Griptilian variant is the 558M2-600 Mini RSK Mk1HS, or M2 Mini Ritter Grip.
I've owned many knives, by many manufacturers, but the the M2 Mini Ritter is the knife that works and carries best for me.

I have both the full size & mini also. For pocket carry the mini is perfect IMO.

I find the full sized too large and bulky for comfortable pocket carry. Since you asked...

I'm 6' and about 180 lbs and by reading other posts, I'm guessing I have large hands. But a mini-grip is too small for me.

They give me micro-cuts in the heel of my palm when I flick it open and closed. The full size grips don't do that to me. I gave my mini to my son and kept my two full size 550's. 440c on one and 154cm on the other.
