I own a Benchmade Barrage 580. I love the knife as a whole, but I hate the handle. It feels very plasticy and is too thick. There seem to be manufacturers who recognize this and sell replacement handles. The one I know is Wilkins, but they only offer them for the (mini) Griptillian. Does anyone know any other manufacturers of alternative handles for Benchmades?

To be honest, probably not. It isn't popular enough. That is why I didn't buy it and went with the Warn, which I hated and sold.

Check with someone like Chase Axinn at Chax Knives, or Trimcut or STR here on the boards. They all do replacement scales for knives with liners like the Barrage. One of them should be able to help you out with a set of aftermarket scales. There are a bunch of other folks here who do good work as well, those are just the three that come to mind right away.

No wander it is not popular. I would rather find a knife I like and want - even if paying a little extra. That makes more sense than buying a knife and then spending more money for replacing the scales.
