Benchmade resale value? Why so low?

Did you even read the OP? I said New not used resale! I'll admit that most BNIB ones I sell are 10% off the cheapest online source however the Manix S110V & Chapparel I sold last week were 5-6% off.

BNIB implies that the item has been opened, at least inspected, maybe used but with no wear, etc.

It is not NIB from an authorized dealer, or it would have said so, and BNIB would not exist as a selling phrase.

But, having read more posts, I see what you are getting at, and tend to agree, as many BM models do not seem to hold their value as well as other models and/or brands...

Love BM's... Dont love the prices anymore. As far as secondary market prices, average prices have already gone up actually after almost a year of MAP enforcement. I bet that it will continue to go up as time passes. Prices on the secondary have never been remarkably lower than other brands'. There are deals everywhere if you are thrifty and patient, again- all brands not just BM. $120 ZT 550 2ng gen, $100 Spyderco Techno are just two examples of what I paid and were mint NIB.

I don't know, but I will buy your Benchmade Gold Class M390 used and be fair. Not so with the black or the blue ones.

I have found that gold class hold and increase their values if they are a sought after model.
