It really is. I wonder if he bought the stock while costs were still low, and once he buys more stock at the new, higher costs the sale prices will rise to keep that same margin?
What knives would I need to look for that would reveal this? All his knives are extremely cheap compared to the lowest prices I can find on the net. Even the little crkt Eros I bought was $40 cheaper than what I see on sites. His ZTs are also 35% cheaper than on net.
Like I said I'm extremely green to collecting so didn't know his prices were as low as they actually are until it was confirmed in this thread. I just figured the net sites marked up items more and his prices were like what I would see at shows but that isn't the case now that Ive gotten some input.
He is making his money in huge volumes with firearms, especially now that it only takes a few minutes to run checks. On weekends the place is so packed that you can't move. Literally everyone that knows about the place buys their guns there if it's not too far to drive for gas price offset.
I had been aware of his back then $10 charge on firearms but that was before I was into knives.
I'll check for newer models next time if someone could point out which ones would show a new price change compared to the old stock.
