Exactly. With the large one's clip set for r/h carry. And the small set for l/h. That is how mine are.

It looks about perfect to me. Just looked around and the H&K MP5 auto nearly mirrors this bad boy. I love the Axis but an auto may be in my future.

This to me was the best Benchmade model. It's befuddling because it's the blade I always wanted on a Benchmade but the handle is so large it almost slips into the knife drawer category..... It would be difficult but I would love to see this blade chiseled into a smaller less obtrusive handle configuration. Then it would be perfect.

I love the materials used on the Rukus, have two 615's and one 610. The 610 went on many hunting trips.. Closest folder to a fixed I've seen.. Should have picked up a few more :grumpy:

Wow, as much as I love the Rukus and the axis lock, how sick would a titanium framelock Rukus be!!! (now see whatcha' done did McChan?)

I have one in the safe, and one I have in EDC rotation.
Make one in M390 and I'll own three.

Right now it has been booted out of my FRP. It now has a PM2 and another PM2 clipped IWB at 4:00.

The PM2 was the only knife able to kick the 610 (a three year EDC) out of my pocket.

For quite a while, the Rukus has been my EDC. It’s very large – a touch over 10 inches OAL. The Sebbie in the photo is a large Sebenza. The Manix at the bottom is the real, full-sized original Manix, which is also a very large knife. The top knife is a Ti/M4 Military.

The axis lock really shines on this knife. The blade is incredibly easy to open and close – easier then the 0560CFCB with the ball bearing pivot. A framelock on this knife would seriously degrade its performance and strength. The S30V steel has made me a fan of this steel, after a rocky start with other knives with early S30V. It takes a sharp edge and holds it for a long time. I use the knife to chop overhanging branches on the trails where I walk. The size of the blade gives me the leverage to shop effectively, and it takes a lot of chopping because I live in the rainforest. Trails close quickly in the spring and summer. Years ago I did this same clearing with an Cold Steel X2 Voyager in Aus 8. That blade literally lost a half-mooned chunk from the blade that was about the size of a half penny. The Rukus has never suffered a bit of damage, even with the edge reprofiled to 30 degrees inclusive. And this is as old a Rukus as you’ll find – First Production Run.

This is probably the knife I’d keep if I could only choose one – and I knew it had to be a hard user.

Exactly! The 610 is the one and only knife, I'd be happy to trust my life to... And I've got a few!
It was the first high priced knife, I bought, and it has allways stayed just a little above the others in one way or another.
I don't know, perhaps it cant' be beaten, but this' a personal view for sure...

I am going to bring this back up. I love my rukus but I don't carry it very often for one reason. The Clip. The clip makes holding the knife uncomfortable. Also, the clip is flimsy and bends easily. If it wasn't for those two reasons, I would carry my rukus everyday. But because of that reason, I am thinking about selling it and getting something else.
