Benchmade Rukus vs. Spyderco Military

Okay that's good. Has anyone ordered from Thebladeshop.com? If so, positive experiences? It's $10 cheaper on that site and free shipping.

Does anyone know if the Paramilitary has a thicker
tip than the Military? I looked at a Para at a shop
about a year ago but don't remember...

Since the blade starts at the same width, but is shorter, seem from above, yes, the Para's tip has a slightly steeper angle.

I have an old Military with the CPM440V blade and the two hole clip. I also have one each of the two Rukus, as shown in photo below. I retired the Military because everytime I use it, the blade gets chipped. I have already replaced the screws that hold the clip on with larger ones, and rethreaded the holes. The original installation was tested, and failed when it hooked on something at work and popped the clip off. ( I know the new ones have three holes and different blade steel.)
I carry both of the RUKUS, one in each front pocket. I prefer the tip-up carry because the knife is skinnier at the butt end than a tip-down carry knife is at the blade end. Yes, they are heavy. I like heavy. I carry a Kimber .45 every day as well, so light is out for this person.
The Military is a nice enough knife, I just prefer the Rukus more.
For prying, I do carry a Leatherman Charge Ti. No reason to break the tip
off of a good knife when you have a multi-tool on hand.
