Benchmade Skirmish or Spyderco Manix

An Axis Skirmish (mini especially) would likely sell out quickly for the first couple of runs. The only reason I never bought the first was it wasn't lefty friendly (though it was one of the few that tempted me).
But I don't know if Benchmade can make another Skirmish without Neil Blackwood's ok.... And from everything I've heard, he's a less than reputable fellow .

I’ve had both and like both, however if it was between the two I’d go with the Skirmish. 100% no doubt about it. But try finding one.

Both are nice but I prefer my Skirmish.

So I finally found a Mini Skirmish for sale...
But a prior owner had scratched his name into the titanium scales!
Is there any way to polish that out?
Or will that create a bigger mess?

I suppose my largest concern would be having the "re-contoured section's" color tones: still match the rest of the scales.
Or is this stuff just left in it's natural state?
(I've never even touched titanium scales before...)

Well: I won the knife, and got it for less than $250.
Once it gets here: I'll know what we have to work with...
(:oops:GULP!)

I used to have the large Skirmish. I liked it but it wasn't practical for me. I'd choose any model Manix for practicality and usefulness and twice that if I was having the choice of one of the tool steel models like Cruwear. On top of being too big for me to carry the Skirmish was only in plain S30V steel which is OK but not as good as some of the Manix alternatives. There are a bunch to choose from if you buy secondary market.
