Benchmade Snody Activator 210?

I am attracted to this "little" knife, I don't know if I really need it, but the S30V at 59-61HRC adds to the attraction. Any positive/negative thoughts from those of you who own one? I would be looking to use it as a fixed EDC and for foxes etc.
 
Awesome little fixed blade! It's small, but gets the job done. It's the only sheeple friendly fixed blade I own. The thing I dislike is the leather sheath supplied by Benchmade. This little gem screams for a kydex sheath.
 
Here is another owner with nothing but praise. It is almost identical to Snody's own sportster and is one of the few that I can carry without raising too many questions. I've got last years grey/black.
 
I have last years aswell. #162 of 1000. I agree with half of the sheath statement. Mine has punctured through the leather sheath a tiny bit. If one isn't careful, they could get a poke. But I think a natural sheath like leather compliments it better then synthetic would.
The knife is incredible. It holds up to any abuse you could put it through. I can't wait to take it skinning with me.

I had been planning on posting of my love for this knife, but never got around to it. It is in my knife rotation about 80% of the time, work and play. I really like the sheath and the whole rig disappears under a t-shirt. The blade is big enough for most day to day tasks (doesn't slice a big apple so well), yet is the smallest useful knife I have. I think it is brilliant.

Thanks! I have put my order in today. I'll wait and see about the sheath but I am partial to leather and I make my own anyway.
 
It's a great little knife Jdee, I'm sure you will be impressed.
For such a little knife, I can still firmly hold and control it with my big mits.

I just realized that this was my first Benchmade! Ooooooooh, I remember those days. So fresh. So alive. So innocent. Why, I didn't even know what S30V was back then. I just had a C-note in my pocket and a clerk with a heart of gold.
I think I'm going to go carve something with it right now!
 
Just noticed this; why would the blade hardness rate differently between the 210-GG and the old 210? Both are S30V.
Strange...

I'd be curious to hear more about Sheaths for this bad boy. JD, you say you are going to make your own leather for it? Toss a pic up here when you are done.
 
I'd like to hear more about the factory leather sheath for this knife, please. How's the construction and quality?

Is the 210 in house for your sheath? Do I have to send mine in for you?

Greenbone Boy - if I find the Benchmade sheath unsatisfactory I will make a sheath for it and if I do I will post some pics.
