Near Mint Benchmade Spike 1000s up for sale with Box, Papers, etc...
I can't call this dead mint as it has been sharpened once by me. The knife was going to become a new EDC, but have decided to let it go. The knife has never been used at all, nor cut anything. It was sharpened by hand due to a defect in the factory edge near the tip of the blade. I'm assuming this was a bad place that was not seen before shipping out. The actual sharpening of the blade's edge did require for the factory edge to be cut down a tad even though it was very little that had to be taken off. The knife is not 100% factory perfect, but does have a razors edge and has no markings other than a couple of small hair like scratches that can be seen in direct light. I was very careful in setting the edge back and it has been stropped as well. The handle and the rest of the knife is perfect. The blade isn't near as bad as I make it sound, but need to be honest as possible before selling.
Knife also has a custom made horse hide clip on sheath that will come with it. The sheath was actually meant for a MT Halo, but fits the Spike just like a glove and decided to use it for the BM instead. Will keep it posted here for a week or so and then will be heading to the auction if not sold. I am having problems with logging in, so please email me with any questions that you might have. Will try to go by the time stamp, but would prefer you send me an email as well as posting. The sheath alone sold for $25.00, so I think the price is fair.
Will entertain trades as long as it's for other automatics, plus or minus cash....
