Benchmade, what are you doing qc for sharpness

I've got 5 Benchmades with S90V steel. Take care of them, and don't let them get too dull: you can bring them back on a simple honing steel.
No not true. The way benchmade sent mine it needed a true sharpening. S90v is not easy to reprofile in any way.

Yeah real cute when you have to "touch up" s90V.

So it's the mindset of don't worry customer you can take the time and cost of finishing the knife for us - Benchmade

I don't think so. I buy knives to use them, not to fix them for the factory
I love Benchmade, just want them to do better.
All of my Benchmades have come plenty sharp. But you sound like an entitled Karen when you come here and call them out for sending you a knife that wasn’t sharp enough. You will have to sharpen it eventually. Might as well learn how.

I know how to sharpen, why can a 30 dollar Kershaw come sharpen then a 280 dollar 940-1?

It's not a bad thing to buy a new knife that can cut is all. Benchmade is well known for not having the best edges, so why disparage the thought of having them improving qc? Does it hurt their business? Not sure why it's being a Karen to expect a razor sharp blade from a company that specializes in making........wait for it.......knives!

I have 5 benchmades, 1 came razor sharp. The rest have found their way back to benchmade, at least while they had them I had them add engraving that I love.

And still no response from Benchmade Benchmade

Any input on your current qc process for sharpening finished edges?

Again, my last purchase went elsewhere, would have got a plain jain 940 to go with the 940-1, but went with another para2 instead.

In the future i guess Benchmade is the only brand that when I buy I ask to check centering, lockup, and in bms case sharpness before sending.

When I pick up ANY knife: those are the things that Iook at first...

I've owned maybe half a dozen Benchmades, but it's been years since I acquired one. Zero of them were sharp the way a typical Buck or Spyderco is sharp when new. Based on the comments here, it sounds like they have improved their process.

Yeah... Apparently I don't get this whole "Karen" thing...

Please don't get me wrong: I'll call in the Marines for something that I can't take care of by myself...
But I will always exhaust my meager bag of tricks first!

Well as Benchmade Benchmade won't answer, a few posters want to play like they are holier then thou, and prefer their edges dull from the factory, thread closed.

BTW, about the normal numbers of posters had dull Benchmade Benchmade discussed here, about what I normally see which is above average. If Benchmade Benchmade would like to chime in I'll reopen, but I have a feeling Benchmade Benchmade knows they have this issue, it's not new, and won't change.
