Benchmade's custom build program?

I bought a red bladed, black g10, tango barrage but they sent me a drop point instead. I was annoyed at first but I was happy about it as I realized the drop point looks nice too. Benchmade offered to change the blade but I decided to keep the knife. Took them about a little less than a week to get it done and shipped to me iirc. Good experience overall

Mine. Had a problem with Customer Service today though that left a sour taste in my mouth. I've always praised their CS and have had good experiences with them in the past. Two different reps today were not okay though

I ordered two knives earlier this year and had a little bit of an issue with the centering of the blades. They remade one knife and fixed the other. Once that was all done both knives are great.
Just ordered one more as another gift. They are a little spendy but I guess thats the price of getting to pick what you want. If only they had the ritter grip blade as an option.
 
I ordered a custom full size a couple of years ago and loved getting to choose my options. Mine as lime green scales with black blade and all black hardware. Wish I still had it. Really wish I had ordered it as a mini and would still have it. Looked last night actually to see about ordering another in mini this time but the price went really high really fast. Decided to order another mini Ritter while I still can.
 
I've had 3 made in the past, 2 for me and 1 for a friend. I think it's a great opportunity to add some flavor to a great BM knife.
 
Been debating doing this. Wish they'd do M4 with no coating. Better yet an uncoated M4 Ritter. Just take my money

I have to ask since I didn't realize there was the build it option until about a month ago. Are the G10 Grips thicker than the standard ones. When doing the build it the photo/drawing looks like the Griptillian with g10 is thicker.
 
The full size Griptillian G10 grips are actually thinner than the original plastic grips.
