I own a "few" BM's and wonder what the cost of mailing them back AND is there any cost for the resharpen ?.

I have 2 710's and a Contego that I just got [ it has replaced the 710 for EDC ].

LOVE the BM's but still long for a LARGE model ,before I stop carrying a large folder [ done so for over 5 decades ]
 
I boxed my knife and sent it insured for less than $5. You need to fill out the lifesharp form on the BM site and let them know what you want done..if you want the clip replaced etc.
The service is free and they pay to send it back. Had it back in my hands in less than 2 weeks. Unless the policy has changed in the last 2 months...no charge.
 
Just remember to leave the original box home. They will be returned to you in a gray 'Repair' box typically via UPS.

I just used this knife to open a box, and dropped it on the concrete floor literally 48 hours after getting it back. Broke the f-ing tip off. Called Benchmade and they have no replacement blades.

Please excuse me while I go vomit.
Wow that's horrible. They don't have 710 blades in any steel?

You need to read the thread from the start. The blade with the broken tip was from a 710-1, which was a limited edition for which there were no replacements. A Benchmade rep rescued the situation with a spare 710-1 blade that he had stashed away, but they probably could have used the M390 blade from a 710-1401, too. And there are obviously plenty of D2 blades, but that isn't what the OP wanted.
 
Got a question for those of you who have used the LifeSharp service. How are you guys sending your knives in? Regular mail or UPS?
 
Sent 2 of my knives in through USPS, never had a problem with the U.S. post office.
