You list these as having 440A? I was under the impression that these would also be using the N690 steel... Could you check on that, and I'll check my source also.

The BM rep said it was 440A, and I thought the blade was marked 440A, but the BM site says N690...I'm confused!

I'll have to ask the manager if he remembers the blade steel on the Pika.

Yup. The 732 model. They released one quite a ways back, but never as a standard production model. They also released a 732HS that was supposedly a dealer/distributor special order that was backed out of. They ended up selling what was already made. Here are pictures of those two. I assume the new 732 should look the same, just with the new BM logo, and possibly without the Elishewitz name on the back.
The 732 in my pics does not have the model number listed on the blade, but the 732HS does. Not sure how the new ones will be.

I have one of the limited editions with the D2 blade in this same configuration. It's not in front of me now but I believe it's one of 100 made.

I for one love both Benchmade's new direction as well as all of the LE's they're coming out with. I think it breathes a breath of fresh air into the production market and gives fans a chance to own a knife that has production numbers that rival many customs witout the price.

I called BM to put in my vote for a limited run of 806's, I think anyone here who wants one should call as well. Maybe if more than 100 people called they'd do a limited run of 100 or 250...
