Yes, Into The Wild...a great book. I did read Anatoli's book and as a matter of fact, I think that is the book where they mention finding Fisher's pocket knife.

As for the BM knife, this is just a publicity thing...stand by for lots of advertising.

Personally I think the Pinnacle would have been a better choice. It's a stronger knife, weighs about the same as the 940 (OK maybe a tiny bit heavier) and is realistically probably as easy to close with gloves on as the axis lock. Just my 2 cents...
