Benchmark Griptilian

I have both the ritter grip in M2 & the cabelas D2 grip.
Both are mini's, I love them both. I am a little partial to the ritter because of the great steel and limited run. But, the cabelas version has a different or more pointed blade profile, which I sometimes find handy. I just got the cabelas at Xmas so I've only had limited experiance with it.
I bought a full sized grip for my daughters boy friend. It does feel a little cheap. But truely believe it sounds way cheaper. The liners on the full size are only partial liners. They do not extend down the full length of the handle, unlike the mini's who have full length liners. So, when opening and shutting the blade on the full size there is a hollow plastic sound which makes them sound cheap, especially if flicked open. You don't get this sound with the mini's because of the full length liners. The reason some people don't see the liners is because they are nested into the handles. They aren't just mounted sandwich style in layers. Which is typical for most knives. Anyway I love my grips, the mini's are a perfect size for me in an everyday carry. The problem for me is which one to carry? With all the other more important problems that come up in life everyday, I just carry both. I will tire of this eventually and one will be left home. Until then, I won't sweat the small stuff. jm2c
