Benchtop because I haven't much space. I'm up in the air between the grizzly heavy duty benchtop press and the harbor freight heavy duty benchtop press. Anyone with personal experience or another recommendation for <$400? I'm open to suggestions. :)

Thanks guys.

Gavin

I just got a emailed 20% off offer from Harbor Freight for any one item for Saturday only. It indicates it is not transferable (copied) but it is to be printed and used in one of their stores. I think you may want to consider their mini milling machine/drill press. You will need to email me today and I can forward the coupon to you. redrummd@comcast.net

i got my coupon....which drill press are you talking about....is the harbor freight one worth it......ryan

Redrummd, I emailed you. Is the recommendation of the mini mill/drill press because of the much higher column rigidity and versatility of the machine (which are both compelling arguments in its favor) or is there something else I'm missing? Because, while I'd much prefer to go with the mini mill for those reasons, it's also three times as expensive. Should I just wait until I can afford it?

I use the $65 HF benchtop drill presses. I can't remember who it is, but there's a well known folder maker that has a row of them on his bench and each one is set up for a different purpose.

Gavin,

You had noted less than $400. and with the coupon it will be well below that point.
