bending brass flat bar

Heat it really,really well in the area you want to bend it, then quench it in water. It will bend well. Do not try to bend it while it is heated or it will probably snap. That has been my experience and I could bend a very tight 90 degree curve, hope it works for you.Good luck.

i think it was tiktock that posted a while back that when you heat and quench brass it actually anneales it
 
Yes Mike, it does, but that is the trade off.
You cannot put a sharp bend into it any other way that I know of, it is too brittle.
