bending nickel/silver??

you will need heat to bend it. i'm not sure if propane will get hot enough but if you use a oxygen - acetylene torch, be careful not to melt the metal. i would suggest to have someone help you by holding the torch or bend the metal. if you are making a sharp bend, be careful not to bulge the sides. heat a little extra area both ways from where you plan on making the bend but not too much.
 
i only need to bend it enough for a guard like on a civil war bowie so the bend is not tight maybe a radius like the size of a 2 litre bottle
