Bent Blade : Is a fix possible?

I've noticed that too and wondered the same. The 'How it's Made' video from which that image was taken is fairly old and I don't know if Case has made some more recent adaptations to the induction annealing process to account for the different sizes of blades. Having said that, I own a whole bunch of Case pocketknives, mostly 1990s and later, and haven't noticed any significant issues with edge retention in the rearward portion of the edge on any of them.
