Bent or Broken Does it matter?

bend. Not only do you have some warning that the blade will break, but some heat and a hammer may fix the problem (obviously not permanently), but if it's broken, it wont cut as well as a bent blade even..

i would much rather have it bend
if you're applying that much force that it can cause such radical blade deformation, odds are you'll have an intimate junction of metal and flesh if it breaks
and that's a big no no in my book
