I wanted to tell everyone about my first experience with Nj steel baron. I purchased a 4"x48" piece of 1095. When I received the steel on monday it was badly bent about 2" in the center from a flat surface. I sent a email to Aldo just telling him it was bent nothing else just said it was bent. This morning I got an email saying he was sending a new piece of steel reinforced for shipping and a tracking number quickly followed. I am impressed at the speed and no hesitation to send me new steel. Not many companies or people like that around anymore. Just wanted to share this as I have found a stand up person who will get many steel orders from me in the future.

Aldo's a good guy.

Personally I wouldn't have much of a problem with a sheet of steel that size being bent, unless you need to use the whole thing for one piece.

I had the same problem with my last order, but I just put it in the forge and straightened it out.

It's amazing how just a few questions can get such great results. I spoke to my rep. from the mill recently about the issue with some of the stock coming with a bow in it and how we can eliminate the problem. He informed me that they have a Stretch Leveler. You may have seen these machines on a You Tube video, but for those who haven't, it is a machine that will grab both ends of a coil of steel and literally yank it straight leaving the steel dead flat and stress free. It took me all of 2 seconds to decide that we would be using this method on all future heats.

I may as well take this opportunity to let you all know that, due to the increase in orders, we have decided to incorporate the use a water jet for our cutting needs. It will allow us to keep the shelves stocked, and orders going out the door in a much more timely fashion. This, along with our new inventory system should give you both a better selection of steels and sizes to choose from. We should have both systems up and running by mid-May.

From all of us at NJSB, Thank you,
Aldo Bruno

^^^ This is good news. I have been nothing but happy with the steel I have received and am pleased to hear of these upcoming additions to your process.
