First of all, hi everyone. I've looked at the sight for a while now but never needed any sort of help.

Okay, so down to the problem.... I own a hissatsu folder, long story short, the tip is bent. All I need to know is if and how it's possible to sharpen it back to it's former needle tipped glory. :(

Have a pic? Depends on how bad it is and how short you are willing to make the blade. As a general rule it is best to take material off the spine instead of the edge. Of course you will probably need to touch up the edge but not remove a lot of material. This allows you to remove damaged material and get a nice tip while making sure the tip of the knife remains in the handle and safe when closed.

I agree with Fla. Send us a picture so we can better give you ideas. Sometimes you can relay the metal, other times, you have to regrind.

if the tip is not bent to bad it is possible to straighten it back out. sharp short bends tend to break and in that case it is best to form a new tip. also you will have to remove metal from the kick if the tip sticks up. i fix quite a few bent and broken tips. send me some pictures and i'll let you know what is the best route to go. rje196021@gmail.com
