ok... didn't do them all THIS weekend, but it is a hell of a great way to spend time drinking beer. :D

Anyone interested in making their own sheaths should really consider working with kydex. My own 'cheap-ass' tendencies forced me into learning how to make my own sheaths when the INFI bug bit me. I just don't like paying someone else for something I can do.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the pics! If anyone is interested in bending up some kydex, shoot me a PM or email and I will be glad to assist you in any way I can. It really is good fun and you would probably enjoy it!

One thing I should mention; I don't sell these, and am not trying to get business by this post. There are plenty of good sheath-makers on here and I do this primarily as a hobby

WOW! those look great!

Handle retention only, or some blade retention also?

Only handle retention... Sometimes the kydex is rough on the blade finish, especially when it gets dirt/grime in it.

For that reason I tape cardboard (off a 12 or 20 pack) to the blade (both sides) prior to thermo-molding. It is still tight enough, but does not rub.

Only type I would have:thumbup: I hate the blade retention sheaths

Sweet. I'll be up and running soon. Placing an order this week.

The camo sheaths are sweet. Love em.

Thanks man!

I have to admit... Kydex is tough as hell, and rugged; But it has no soul... It is just plastic. Leather has soul and class... I just don't have the same gift that you possess for working with leather. :(

Kydex makes a simple, cheap and fast solution for the 'no-sheath' Busse philosophy. and... um... even a guy with 5 thumbs on each and can make a decent sheath... :D

Nice work there,

Another Hog falls to Kydex huffing as temporary relief from infi fever it seems.

Another 6 months and you'll be giving the leather boys a run for their money I bet.

Awesome work!:thumbup: I can see you must have a great press for being able to form the Kydex with such details! Home made or?

Looks good. It really is all that easy. I got sick of paying a fortune to have bunches of sheaths made for all my different knives and decided to make my own. Best thing I could've done and it saves soooooo much money. For the cost of have one sheath made, I can make about 3 or 4 depending on the balde size and type. I also make sheaths for other stuff too. It's good fun. I still support Brian and Dave Brown though too. Those guys are still tops, and make superb products.

Good job Kd.

AWESOME!!! Really excellent looking sheaths! I like them being so small - with rivets only on one side. The Batac camo sheaths are amazing!

Those look great.

You seem to be an oat soda fan as well as talented sheath maker. Have you tried any of the Real Ales they're made here in Texas, and are what I usually reach for.
