For what it's worth, this is the only one I plan to make this large. I have an 18" kiln and that limits me to a 12" blade length for the heat treats I do. Peter's charged an extra $50 to do this one knife in addition to the cost of the other 65 blades I sent them, so it's not economically feasible to have them do it either. More Beorn knives in 80CrV2 will be made in the future, but with 9" and 12" blade lengths.

blade grind: full flat
serial number: 1
blade: 16"
overall length: 21 3/8″
steel: 3/16 CPM 3V @ 61.5 Hc
handle: blast finish orange G10 with OD & Orange liners. 5 layer stack.
handle thickness: 6/5
hardware: stainless loveless and mosaic tube

sheath: includes orange welted OD kydex pancake sheath with baldric rings. I can add a snap dangler for $25, but it's a lot of weight for belt carry.

I began making PL knives in 2016. I've done leather work for over 20. I added kydex to my repertoire in the last few years. 3V blades are heat treaded by Peter's using a low temp temper with cryo protocol that yields improved edge stability and a hardnes of 61-62 Hc. Scales are glued with West Systems G-flex epoxy. My aim is to produce heirloom quality tools with excellent craftsmanship that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment and service.
