Berreta Knives any good?

I believe the Beretta knives are made in one of the good factories in Japan. Probably the same factory that makes Al Mar and Moki knives, which means great quality control. I have found the Beretta knives to be very well made, and of good steel(440C or AUS8A). Not too expensive either.

Danbo Thanks for the info. Speaking of Japanese made knves
What are some quality Japanese knives? Lets keep the prices under $100.:)

In my experience, quality control on Beretta knives isn't up to par. The specimens I've handled had ridiculously stiff actions and were hard to open one handed. They also had sharp edges all over the handles. YMMV

If you check out this site www.sekidirect.com/ it will explain this consortium of manufacturers in Seki. I bought their Seki-Cut Lum Encounter (smaller version) for $80.00. It's FIRST CLASS quality. They were offering free shipping when I bought mine in early January. Had the knife 5 days after I ordered it from Japan. I just checked, looks like free shipping is still good.

Good knives! Got one with a skeletonized blade and a zytel handle back in the mid 90`s. I believe it`s called the Airweight.
