Besides for GEC…

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I've absolutely loved the Bear & Son knives I've had over the last few years. Here are a couple of examples similar to the patterns mentioned above.

I love vintage USA Barlows Schrade, Colonial, Imperial, Ka-Bar and the list goes on, same thing for Trappers and Stockman. you can still find NOS knives as well. For me I love taking an old slipjoint cleaning it very well and putting a wicked edge on them and turning them into simply excellent EDC knives. I also enjoy speculating on what past owners did with them how many people used them. It's nostalgic for me.

I think I may get a brown burlap Cody scout. I’m torn because I want wood and a slip joint but that’s the closest blade and handle shape to what I’d want.

I got offered a GEC 73 cripple creek autumn jigged bone for $240 shipped with tax. Is this a good price for them on the second hand market? No clue how their pricing is after initial sale…

I hope you find what you’re looking for. It is my understanding that this is not the place to discuss pricing. The usual protocol is to use PMs. 🤷

I was of the understanding that asking for pricing to sell was against policy but I guess I could see this being the same case. Just new to purchasing second hand and don’t want to be taken for a ride lol

S SuzukiGS750EZ The GEC 73 is quite a lot different from your original quest: Stockman, Barlow, Trapper as it is invariably single blade Drop-Point. It is however a very nice pattern that was one of GEC's mainstays at the beginning but hasn't been made recently. It's not that common on the Exchange either but patience will yield results. Usually, they are very strongly sprung knives. Here's one of mine, an excellent pattern and the right size not too big nor small.
