Best $10 or $20 cheapie...

I like my douk douk a lot. I could not believe how sharp this thing got with minimal effort. i wish I could find one of the smaller sized ones though.

Small CV Case soddie.

I would bet 95% of us here could do every EDC cutting task with a small soddie, and never NEED more knife. Might get mine out tomorrow and take her to work

> I personally try to avoid anything from France

- an original laguiole?
- a Nontron?
- a good bourgogne?
- Audrey Tautou?
- champagne?
- a Citroën DS?
- lemon tart?
- Roquefort and Camembert?
- ...

How could you????

How could you leave out an Opinel?
Also in the league for the best folder under $20.
And French....

> How could you leave out an Opinel?

Because it was already mentioned higher up in the thread !
Hey, I have 9 Opinels, and the sturdy big #12 is my fave chef's knife while on holiday!
And I mainly wanted to demonstrate the incredible mistake of avoiding all things French...
I was recently for a week in Paris, it had been a while since my last time, and again I was struck how absolutely fantastic that city is.

+1 for the Case Soddie!
Picked up a couple of the "Junior" models from SMKW a few months ago on a special internet-only sale. (Was only $18 each.)

Otherwise, definitely SAK or Mora.
Fixed blade - Frosts (Swedish) knives, too.

Those have been around for quite awhile. Many folks love em. I personally try to avoid anything from France.

No reason to. As of January 20th, France will have a more conservative administration than we do for the first time since DeGaulle/LBJ:D

Best cheapie - $10 for a Meyerco Blackie Collins design in a bargin bin at one of my local hunting goods store. G10 handles and the grinds were actually even. They had two so I bought both and not bad knives for the money.
