Best 110 style knife?

The A.G. Russell version of the 110 is called the "Stikeforce" and
is available in two blade styles with or without serrations.
I own the drop point plain blade version of this knife and find it to
be an excellent everyday knife for 99% of what a knife like this is
used for. With the Vg-10 blade and g-10 scales set in a hardend
aluminum frame it, IMO, fixes all the gipes about the 110.
Since the 110 was designed as a hunter the blade shape has never been
quite right for other work altho lots of folk's use it that way. The finger
groove 110 has been a favorite of mine for a very long time. The
"Strikeforce" is just a bit better to make it worth the cost.
Both are from very good companies.

Cold Steel's Voyager line falls into the 110 tradition, with its strong rocker lock and Zytel handles. I believe that Buck was the first to use Zytel in its lockbacks; I have a couple of them. It was first hailed as a lightweight wonder material, and still is, IMHO.

That dollop on the Puma blade is most likely the results of their rockwell testing.
*at least that used to be the case, not sure if they are still testing every blade or not.
I would still stick with the Buck in BG-42, but the stag handled Pumas (General, Price and Earl) are still very well made knives and I feel they have the best lockup of the "110 style" factory knives. Unfortunately the same can not be said of the 110 versions by Puma with the plastic scales.

RH, thanks for straightening that out for me.
As for the Flash powered Pete's site, I could not get it to work using Netscape at all, even after updating my Flash with the latest plug-in. I finally had to return using Internet Explorer, and it worked with that browser. I wonder if those that couldn't get Petes site to work were also on Netscape?...

There is an awful lot of software involved in the display of web pages, and some of it is new and not supported by all browers. Some of the new XML languages aren't universally supported, for example. That may be the reason Pete's page works with some browsers and not others.
