Hey guys I'm kinda new to busse knives I have a nmfsh and have a nmfbm on the way. I'm looking for opinions on the best busse with a 4" blade or close to it. I'm sure I've over looked a thread or something on my search but you guys have been very helpful. Thought this the best place to find out. I will be using it for edc on my belt. Thanks a lot for the help

The Small Choil Anorexic Boss Street (SCABS) and Leaner Meaner Street (LMS) come to mind as two of the best IMO. I've really been loving my Leaner Meaner.

I like the Choiless Anorexic Boss Street (CABS) and Leaner Meaner Street (LMS) as well.

I carry a game warden or a sar 3 for work whichever I'm feeling like for the day , both pretty awesome , although I find the game warden needs to be sharpened more frequently

hands down the b4 is the best. I prefer the skinny version but the fatty is nice too

choiless anorexic boss st (CABS) or HACK Leaner. THe b4 aint bad either:D

the vex is hard to beat as well for a pure cutter.

My top 3 4" busses... In no particular order.

CABS. Used it a bit. Great ergos, very thin. Slices well but edge durability is sacrificed. Only Busse I've ever damaged the edge on.

The rare and mysterious hack meaner Trever mentioned. It may be perfection in the 4" range. Great design. Talon hole being eliminated makes this one heck of a great user!

The meaner street is my most used busse, except for my beloved B11. It has field processed more deer and hogs than I can count. The rib-poking extension to the rear of the handle has been removed by me to resemble the active duty handle. Since that picture was taken I've replaced the handle screws with stainless screws since I use it often in salt water.

Overall, the meaner hack might be a better overall design than the meaner street, but me and my meaner street have history.... great history. Lots of great hunts and fishing trips together. For that reason, I give the nod to the meaner street. See below....

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the input and the pics are very helpful. I like the looks of them all. Wish I could edc my nmfsh. Im likin the cabs and the meaner hack the best. But the ams is good looking as well. Hell they all look good. But I will just try to get my hands on what I can. I mean you can't go wrong with a busse. Thanks again

Basic 4 IMO.

Love it!

Here is when I received it with pictures and here is my use video.

The 3-1/2 inch blade Anniversary Mean Street is available straight from Busse right now, and is a great little knife. Get one while you can, or you'll regret it later.

I don't know the exact blade length but the Swamp Rat Rodent Trail is an outstanding knife. If forced to divest myself of all but one of my smaller Busses and kin, the Rodent trail just might be the one I would keep, although it would be hard to let go of my beloved Active Duty.

Of course it depends what you want to do with it, buy since you've got a big tough blade already, I'd suggest the leaner meaner street. I love that knife. I don't know how thin the new ones are, but you might want to think about one of those.

Well it's certainly goin to be a tuff call for only one. I'm gona either end up with a nice busse collection.....or a divorce.

I previously used an Active Duty and Game Warden but the new-to-me Leaner Meaner is close to perfect for a 4" blade in my opinion.

I love the Basic 4! The Resiprene C handle is amazing. Good luck with your choice! Let us know what you choose :D

Well thanks again to all of you. But I think I'm gona be on the hunt for a basic 4 and or cabs. Those are the two I'm liking the most right now. More info and pics are welcome and appreciated!!
