Allowing the respective flashlights to duke it out among themselves, the listed models are the brightest single AA flashlights that are currently produced. As has been vetted by the flashaholics, if I remember correctly,
1. the current king of the crowd is the Jet I Pro,
2. infinity nitecore second,
3. It gets way difficult with all sorts of manufacturers jumping in.
Here's my input: if you want a single AA, then do you want the increased reflector size that comes with the Jet I? Because that throws form factor out the window, and then you really should start looking into multiple battery formats, or other battery types. Nitecore is about the brightest that still has a small form factor.
Then, the question is: how important is cost? Would a 90% improvement in output be worth $50 to you, when the eye doesn't pick up anywhere near detecting this entire increase (this fact is almost certainly wrong, but it's something like it detects ~30% improvements). I personally have a jetbeam cle vII, which is usually more than bright enough. Everyone goes WOW! when they see it. Besides, if I really want high output, I still reach for a xenon bulb- most applications over 80 lumens involve me being outdoors, where incandescent is the only thing I will use.
So, question is: are you getting into a brighter than thou contest with flashaholics? If so, then you need some custom stuff. If not, then any 100 lumen+ AA flashlight is ridiculously powerful, and the improvements become more incremental than observable, with a noticeable increase in price and compromises. And finally, whatever uber flashlight you buy will be "outdated" in a few months. So unless spending money on flashlights faster than a newly fashioned dictator does on Rolls Royces sounds good to you, any and all these suggestions are quite good. Good luck searching!
