Best AAA LED light?

There are a couple of Arc AAAs on Ebay right now. The seller, "surefireparts", is great; he has 100% positive feedback. I've bought a lot of stuff from him, including an Arc AAA that I just received yesterday! :cool:
 
Well, I got my Peak LED Solutions AAA and AA lights today. I got the AAA in brass which is pretty neat and is the first brass ligth I have had. A little heavy compared to the aluminum but since it's so small there is no problem with it at all.

The AAA I got has 3 LEDs and is the high power version vs. the standard version wihcih they also offer. It has a fairly powerful beam that looks to be about twice as bright as the Arc AAA with a definite bluish tint and only a little sidespill. I have two Arcs and one is bluish with lots of sidespill and the other is whiter with some small blue artifacts and lots of sidespill.

I was a little bummed though when I first examined the light because it has a protruding nipple on the end that has a hole for attaching to your keys. I really like lights that will stand on end for lighting up a room by bouncing off the ceiling so I was slightly disappointed. I checked closer and discovered that the whole end unscrews off the body of the light (with hidden internal o-ring for snugness) thus allowing for easy detachment from your keys and also giving you the stand on end ability. I was impressed. Very clever little feature. :)

I'm really digging the new Peak. Not only does it look sharp but it really is bright for such a tiny little light. I understand that the runtime isn't as good as the Arc but I think the tradeoff is well worth it. Priced similarly too.

I'll review the AA another time.......

Thanks for the info. I'm trading a little keychain knife for an Arc AAA but the Peak lights look nice, too. I'm sure I'll own one soon. :D I think I'll get aluminum over the brass, though.
