I'm thinking one of these two will be kept for an all around camp knife. I really like the look and feel of the Gemini... but something about the Sarsquatch just feels GOOD to me too! I don't need two knives this size.... oh hell.... I maybe DO need two or three!!! Never mind.

No, really, what do you prefer for a camp/hiking/outdoors knife? I will always have my EDC (Black Tie Warden) on me too... but for that CAMP type bigger one..... what do you like?

Pics are of course most welcome!

Sarsquatch, all day... But I also really enjoy my HHFSH, CGFBM and Ratweiler. Of the three the CGFBM is my favorite.

Out of the two choices above...The Squatch with a little tweaking is my pick...or sell 'em both and get a Camp Tramp...THE PERFECT All-Season Camp Knife!!!

For camping and hunting trips the FSH is my favorite paired with a Game Warden.

However, this pair is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

My SFNO always gets the nod when I head out.

Have'nt handled either one yet, but the sarsquatch has always seemed like it would be a neat knife for camp use. Presently though its a HHFSH, SHSHII or a Bwmle not all at the same time though. The TG looks pretty rugged also but like i said i've never handled one.

NMSFNO,

but between your two choices, I'd go with the Sarsquatch. At one gun and knife show I picked up one and loved the balance, weight, and feel.

Haven't held the Team Gemini, but Rob said it feels amazing, but the Sarsquatch still gets my vote.

Of your choices I would go with a Squatch

BUT

IT'S BWMLE ALL THE WAY FOR ME!! Perfect thickness for all day carry and thick enough to do everthing you need. Best knife ever:thumbup:

When talking about a +9" blade I do not like to carry anything at .25" or thicker.

The CG/CF BWMs should not be discounted either. The CG is so light and fast that I could literally hear it swish through the air while I was chopping up a few old 2x4's that needed to be shortened to fit in the garbage can.

The squatch has always been a fave of mine. The DSSF, while being an entirely different knife is it's equal and is replacing the squatch as my camp knife.

I think the real debate would have to be between the ASH1 and the NMSFNO. Those are usually everyone favorite knives. Been voted best overall knives many many times.

Well if that's the case the TG is pretty close in comparision to the Nmsfno for the win.

I'd go for FSH, But I'm waiting for my B11, to see if it will dethrone the FSH. Long, light paired with swamp warden, or skely warden (which I can't afford, and Jaxx is no longer giving away) Should be very good for camping.

Hard to beat an FSH and Skelly Warden combo...

Darn close... :)

...But it wouldn't be my first choice as a camp knife. I believe that if one was to have to "bail out" and would be crossing through both urban/suburban and rural areas, it would be a great knife to have strapped to a leg and be capable for just about anything you'd need it for from normal knife tasks to prybar to second or third layer defense (after firearms, long & short)...sharp enough to slice, thick enough to baton, pry and dig, with that full guard to keep your hand where it should be...off the blade! ;) If only one knife or paired with something much smaller like a folder or the Culti, the TG is my new BOB Busse of choice.

For a camp knife, that SARsquatch seems like a better choice, especially this one...

also the SFNO/NMSFNO models rank very high, and if ya like 'em heavier, the HHFSH or HOFSH are both 2 more fantastic Busse's with a serious work ethic. ;)

The SAR -8 is a great knife too, but after I got some time in with the B11, I'd have to say that it would be a nice choice for a lighter longer knife with serious chopping capabilities. If the only knife, maybe not, but paired with a smaller blade, I believe that it would work really well. :)

Good grief, jdraizor, that FSH/game warden combo is insane. I freaking love it. The orange and black handles with that sheath are a beautiful combo.
