I too favor the Beckers, the BK-7 and 9 have already mentioned. I also favor the BK-1. Some find the handles to be a bit slick or bulky but there are some nice aftermarket micarta slabs available. For my brute I cord wrapped the handle, convexed the blade and ground in a choil. Also, all 3 are pretty reasonable priced.

Agree with the Fehrman recommendation. The Final Judgement is a great blade.

I did not know that Ferhman had dropped price to 200 bucks for their 9+ inch blades. That is a good deal. :thumbup:

$200 for a Final Judgement would be a great deal, but alas is isn't so. The $200 figure did not look to be a hard number but rather a point of departure. Fehrman knives are priced about right.
