North61 said:The old C48 is it for me. As a canoest/hunter/winter camper here in the NWT I am absolutely enamored of the full size Wegner. The great ergonomics, flawless blade shape, great edge holding (ATS34) and the sensual thwack of opening has never been equaled IMO.
I have the Blade Tech versions in both 440C and S30V and a VG10 Ocelot on the way...and they are all great but nothing feels as good in my hand as the C48 Spydie Wegner (in plain edge of course).
Hateman said:I've been carrying the sprint run grey handled Goddard more and more. The thing feels very ergonomic in hand for big and small cuts. The blade is a size and shape where I feel I can use it for big chores and smaller, more delicate cuts. Surprised such an unassuming knife could be so good.

Hateman said:I agree. Add G-10 with a thicker handle (a la the Chinook II or Manix), dual liners and notches on the thumb ramp and just maybe an S30V blade.....that thing would never leave my side.
