I agree that the Knifecenter has a great on- line catalog. AG Russells is good too, but a bit hard to navigate all the time. Use the search function there.
For nifty spin on knives, JKM's Chai Cutlery was always a fave. Great knife info, impeccable photography, great prices.
Still makes me sad he's gone. It was worth buying a knife you didn't want just to do business with him.
Way off topic: a few weeks ago I dreamed I went into a brick and mortar version of Chai Cutlery. Actually painted cinderblock. Some knives were in cases, but most of them were on pegboard walls and aisles hanging through the lanyard hole. You could browse and handle thousands of knives at great prices including a big wall of autos. Not that you could buy those, but you could play.
Jim was there behind the counter with his cat and scanner and computer.
Was a really vivid dream even if it didn't make a lot of sense.
