Best Android phone manufacturer?

I'm really liking my Samsung droid charge. My only complain is the battery sucks but that would be with any heavily usused smart phone. I upgraded the battery to one that is 2.5 times stock capacity for $115.

Its an android phone with all the android features but it behaves like an iphone as in the way to scroll, zoom, change screen via flicking.

I recommend it fully.

HTC's Sense version is the most user friendly version of android, and adds some features the basic android os lacks. I also think that HTC makes a well designed and durable product. Pick up a samsung phone, and then an HTC phone, there is a huge weight difference. Samsung and some other phones "feel" cheap. Feel isn't everything though. I personally have had bad luck with samsung smartphones, and it seems that their quality control is poor.
I've got no opinions on Motorola, because I have never owned one.

I would recommend Sprint if you plan on using a lot of data, they do have a great unlimited plan. Also, if you don't like a phone you can take it back for a full refund within 15 days I think.

Cheers.
you are right and from taking both samsung and htc phones apart to fix them the parts used in htc just seam better made to me

I'm partial to the HTC phones. I have an Incredible 2 and my wife has an Motorola Droid 2 and the HTC is a far superior phone. The battery life on the Motorola is sub par.
That is what I have, the battery lasts me close to a full 4 days with moderate use, heavy use will take about 2.5 days. Love that thing.
Through Verizon I assume? Do they have 4G access yet? If so, that'd be a good reason to switch back to Verizon since nobody else does yet, at least that I'm aware of.

well i do cell phone repair for a living so i have played with just about every android phone there is and in my honest opinion
HTC is the best all around they were the first to put android on a phone and the first to put windows on a phone dont get me wrong they have had a few lemons i also like Motorola i still use a droid 1 as i can over clock it to be as fast as any phone on the market today

Well, I think that narrows it down for me. I was leaning towards HTC or Motorola and away from Samsung already, and your endorsement of HTC and Motorola sinches that. I should check out the Droid 3 in person, as typing with touch screens tends to piss me off.

Verizon does have 4G access but the Incredible 2 is not 4G enabled. The current line up of HTC phones from Verizon are such as the Rhyme and Thunderbolt but don't rule out the LG line. They make some pretty solid phones as well.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, and I'm very happy with it. The Galaxy Nexus (manufactured by Samsung for Google) comes out in November, looks like it's going to be a killer phone.
I recently got the S2 after comparing it with the HTC Sensation and iPhone4. It has the best performance on paper and IRL this thing flies. There is only one thing I don't like about it and that is battery life. It has a big engine and it uses a lot of juice. But you sure notice it when you drive it. ;)
Great camera for both pics and video. Great screen. Fast, responsive, intuitive. Connects readily to your PC, Wifi, Bluetooth, etc.
Very good. Best I've ever had.

Verizon does have 4G access
In the Tri-state area, sure, but out here in Tucson (where RevDevil and I are), new tech takes a while to come around. I found their coverage map and it appears Verizon has 4G in Tucson, but I don't know how thoroughly spread out it is. My parents live just outside of Tucson by a few miles, and a year ago I couldn't get more than a bar (if I was lucky) with AT&T, and no 3G.

I really don't notice much of a difference in speed between 3G and 4G. The 4G enabled phones suck a lot more of the battery life because they are always searching for 4G and even if they did connect they used a lot more battery life than the 3G connection. Most of the areas around here have Everywhere Wifi access. I would check to see if you have that option open to you and then stick with a 3G phone or buy a 4G if that's your only option and disable the 4G.

I guess I'm in the minority. My HTC Incredible sucked for stability, sucked for battery life, and heated up. Stability only marginally improved after I rooted it, and battery life--even with a double-capacity battery--was always lousy. I'd try a Samsung or LG before I'd go to a Motorola (their v60i was the best phone I've ever owned, but my v3m was garbage).

I have the non3D EVO and rooted it as soon as I got it. Great battery life and is built like a tank. Once it is rooted you can use it as a wifi hot spot for no extra charge also. There are a lot of ROMs out for a rooted EVO also.

HTC, They seem to have the most variety. I have no heard favorable things about Motorola Droid phone. Sansung also makes very good phones.
+1 on the HTC and Samsung, Droids (at least the gen 1 droid) are POS. They work fine for about 2 months, then the battery regulation goes out the window, max of 20 mins on a full charge.

I have a Droid Casio Commando. Not the prettiest thing but it is semi-waterproof and has survived three toddlers.

It might have been bad luck, but we had 2 of them have the same problem. The first one got sent to motorola for a replacement, the replacement got replaced with a HTC evo. Glad yours is workin for you though, I really wanted to like that phone.

I like my HTC Thunderbolt. The 4G access is the main reason I chose it over an iPhone. But, I've grown to like it much more than any iPhone I've ever played with. I do notice a large increase in speed when I'm on 4G access rather than 3G.

i have the droid 1 since day 1 and still use original battery, I have no issues and i can easily make it 24-48 hrs on a full charge.
