Best bang for the buck(s)..

The Benchmade 710 is one heck of a knife. It can be a little hard to open via the thumbstud, but it's an excellent large utility folder. The 710 is exceptionally strong, and wonderfully versatile. This is a timeless classic in the world of tactical folders.

I personally prefer my new Benchmade RSK Mk1 in M2 steel. This is a great knife to buy, for the M2 steel alone. M2 is wonderful stuff, and this is the very last of the M2 steel from Benchmade. Get one before they're all gone. From a collector’s standpoint, I’ll bet that this knife is actually a viable investment, capable of gaining a decent value over the next couple years. The grip (like all of the other Griptilians) is more ergonomic than the 710. The thumbstud is much easier to access. The Axis lock is little more refined than the old 710. The blade grind on the Ritter models offer great cutting performance. The only downsides I see are a few minor hot spots in the grip, and the construction is probably not quite as indestructible as the 710.

I think that every knife collector should own a Sebenza. Some people like the design. Some people don’t. But pretty much everybody agrees that the Sebenza sets the benchmark for fit and finish in a non-custom folder. Maybe even a benchmark for custom folders. The construction is just plain incredible.

Gotta say Benchmade 710. It's the raddest. Can't go wrong with it. An 806 is an excellent knife in that range as well.
