While I can't claim best,as that implies just one,I would state this is one of many bargain Bucks.
Since I posted this in yesterday's Sunday Picture Show,I believe this would be a good example of a bargain Buck.
I found this about two years ago on the bay and obviously won the knife.
Here are the reasons that I consider this a bargain:
It has a blade swap using a blade from a #426 that has been mirror polished.
The rear of the frame has been milled off to create a *headless* design.
Some very nice wood has been placed on this Buck.I believe it to be ironwood.
Given the amount of work performed and considering the cost to have someone like Remer/Stone perform this work today,then my winning bid of $90.00 would certainly be considered a bargain.
PS: I believe this could be the work of Bob Timberlake.Since there was was no COO and the seller didn't know this knife's origin,then this is just a guess.
