Best Bargain Buck!!

While I can't claim best,as that implies just one,I would state this is one of many bargain Bucks.

Since I posted this in yesterday's Sunday Picture Show,I believe this would be a good example of a bargain Buck.

I found this about two years ago on the bay and obviously won the knife.

Here are the reasons that I consider this a bargain:

It has a blade swap using a blade from a #426 that has been mirror polished.

The rear of the frame has been milled off to create a *headless* design.

Some very nice wood has been placed on this Buck.I believe it to be ironwood.

Given the amount of work performed and considering the cost to have someone like Remer/Stone perform this work today, then my winning bid of $90.00 would certainly be considered a bargain.

PS: I believe this could be the work of Bob Timberlake.Since there was was no COO and the seller didn't know this knife's origin, then this is just a guess.

Many of my most cherished bargains were more about getting dream knives for reasonable but not bottom dollar prices after waiting and looking for years to find them.
With that logic I can certainly consider my stag 305 to be a bargain.
It did cost me around $130 shipped but I've seen others more recently go for much more, and while it was at that time the most I had ever spent on 1 knife it's also one of the knives I feel the most lucky to have acquired.
I had just been thinking about giving up and getting a regular 305 rehandled when it came up for sale.
