Best Becker to Skin a Fish

The right tool for the job makes a big difference. while any sharpened blade can get it done, fillets are best done with a fillet knife. the blade flex allows the blade to bend around the rib cage to get the most meat. I don't have the k-bar fillet knife yet but have heard good things so might be picking one up. My swiss made rapalas work but the handles are slick when covered in fish slime.

If Becker doesn't have anything, then maybe I will take a second look at that Kabar fillet knife again.

@Guyon, do you like using the 6" KA-Fillet or the 9"one? I read your review on the Kabar section and looks like the 9"knife did wonders on those fish you had.

I've only used the 9" one. Haven't been fishing since I got the 6".
The only downside to the knives is the lack of a sheath. They come with a plastic slip, which protects the knife in a pack or tackle box.
But you're not going to be wearing it hip-side unless you have a sheath made.

The handles are worth it though IMO. They're very grippy and ergonomic.
No complaints about the steel in the 9" version. It performed as well as my Rapalas.
