I've never found a good yard sale deal or flea market find on a benchmade has anyone else. Also has anyone just found any on the ground.

i found a used benchmade on ebay that needed a good cleaning but it was way affordable. the guy could have cleaned it up and sold it for big money. good for me tho.

lots of good deals at garage sales etc also. cause sometimes people find these knives and dont look for the real value of them.

just got to make sure they are not fakes, cause their are a lot of fakes to be careful of. the fakes are really bad, but a non knife nut wouldnt be able to know that.

fellow i work with found one in an attic dropped and buried under blown in glass insulation lost years before. he gave it to the homeowner since it was their home. homeowner said it wasnt theirs but was happy to get it.

What model was it

If you have another brand you really love please share I just have a love for benchmades and I've found many great brands a yard sales and flea markets just not a benchmade.

I got a Buck Mayo (Ti version) for $40 at a gun show. At the same gun show but different year, I got a Mike Franklin small fixed blade for $60.

It wasn't at a yard sale or any flea market, but my brother was able to buy his 940-1 for the same price as a normal 940. It just so happened that the store he was at misplaced the correct box and apparently just stuck it in an average 940(almost $100 cheaper) box. I don't think the employee knew how big the difference really was.

Deal of the year for sure, haha.

One of our local stores had a used gear sale in their parking lot. They offered their used rental gear for cheap along with serviceable items that customers had returned. I bought a used full size 551 Griptilian for twenty bucks. $19.93 dollars, plus tax, IIRC. First Benchmade I ever owned.

Not a yard sale or flea market, I know.

Holy damn! $20!? That'd instantly go into the truck to become my back up.

I hope one day to find a nice knife on one of those kind of sales, but EDC knives other than SAK really aren't commen here so probably never going to happen.

I picked up a Benchmade 581 off eBay for $50. According to the description on the auction, the guy's friend had tried to sharpen it with an angle grinder and really butchered the blade, but the handle was basically brand new and it had the box. I sent it to Benchmade for a replacement blade and I had a brand new 581 for less than 100 bucks. I ended up giving it to my roommate when he got knife-envious after our neighbor and I were showing off knives to each other.

Yeah, I did all right with that purchase. I sold it to my boss for $40 when I won a second knife here on a BF.com GAW. I later purchased a third Griptilian in D2 steel for $65. I really like the Axis Lock.

I regret not buying a Mini Grip at the same time I bought the 551.

I paid two dollars for a beaten up Mel Pardue folder (way early 90s, don't remember the model number, but it's out at BM for a spa treatment.)
