Best Big Folders? >5"

What are some of the best big folders out there now, custom or production? Gotta be 5" or more with really secure lockup. No mediocre steels. Pictures or links appreciated.
Any favourites you can recommend?

the crawford perfigo is 4.5" and other than my spec war emerson CQC8 is my fav EDC, also like the darrel ralph maxx, have a 5.5" version myself dont carry much anymore though, still a good one though........
 
Here's another vote for the Cuda Maxx. It really is a great price for a great quality knife. Mine is the stiletto blade version, but if I had to do it over again, I'd get one with a bowie blade. The stiletto blade is way cool, but the bowie version seems a little more practical.
 
The robo/power assist opening sounds like a very good idea for a big knife. Candian dealers seem to be nervous about the legality of it up here. Is the system as good as it sounds? I'm nervous whenever there's a mechanism in case it malfunctions and I can't repair it myself.
 
Forget the robo-assist. The Camillus CUDA Maxx bowie snaps out so fast with a light touch on the flipper that you'll think it is assisted. I'm not kidding, these are so well balanced, that 5.5" blade flies open. I've got 2 of them and a custom Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx dagger, also with the flat ti handles and D2 blade. You can hardly tell the difference in handling between the productions and the custom.
 
No picture but Pat Crawford is now making the Kasper folder with a 5.0" X 3/16" blade! Now that is a knife!!!!
 
i would be carefull buying a Sifu, REKAT is outta biz and the inertia from the big old blade plays havoc with the fabled "rolling lock", if it breaks ya better be able to fix it yourself cuz no one else i know of will fix it, the maxx is a lot better knife anyway w/a lot better lock, imho sifus are more for collecting than using these days......

Just gotta ask what is up? You post the following....

I agree with you but...I still like my Sifu and carry it alot. I also carry my Camillus Maxx bowie. I had a stilletto but a friend just had to have it.

My 2 Favs are the Cuda Maxx and CS X2 Voyager.(I picked -up my X2 for $35.00 brand new). :)

Cuda Maxx 5.5 bowie. Beautiful DR design. Amazingly, it seems to disappear in the pocket. Also, Camillus stands behind its products and I've been satisfied with its CS.
 
Don't forget Darrel's 7" Gibb's Madd Maxx and Camillus is promising their production version soon. Hopefully this month! DDR also has a 12" Maxx that is in the design process. That one will most likely have a new lock on it.


OOOPS. Missed the post about th 7" Maxx. :o
