And a round of applause for all of the terrific finalists, as well as all of the nominees – it’s great to see that the Bowie is alive and well and thriving.

And special thanks from Lorien and myself to all the participants in the process.

despite the server glitches, this year's event went off really well, and surprisingly smooth

Congratulations to everyone whose bowie was nominated for this fun and informal contest. It's awesome that we can all come together around a friendly competition that's more about exposing and celebrating the jewels created throughout the year by hard working cutlers, than the accolades.

Congratulations Russ for this acknowledgement by your peers, supporters, patrons and friends for your excellent work and dedication to the bladesmith's art! There's no doubt that John is smiling
 
All the nominations were awesome. I somehow had forgotten to check out Bruce Bump's website for quite a while until he posted.

Hi Joe....Thanks...I wasn't planning to go, but may be able make some changes...…..right now, I don't know....
