Best budget knife for EDC?

I've been wanting a new edc knife for a while, I am carrying a crkt m-16 10z right now and want something a little bit bigger but not as thick in the handle. Does anyone have any suggestions? (My budget is around 60$)

Rat 1 d2 can be found for 30ish, bucks are great value, cold steel code 4 or broken skullmight be a few more then 60, steel will cutjack

I'll second taking a look at Buck USA models, and also a second on the Spyderco Delica. Either way you can get yourself a lot of knife for the money.

I was VERY surprised how good the 420HC steel is, in the Buck Lite line. I just touch it up with ceramic sticks. I carry the larger one (486 ?) around the farm. You can get one for $30 or so.

The 10z is a 3" knife so a lot of the recommendations in this thread are for smaller not larger knives. RAT's I believe are wider in the handle than your CRKT, the Buck Vantages are probably about the same but they are the same blade length IIRC, maybe look at the Cold Steel Code 4 it's fairly thin but it's $75

Pretty much all USA made Kershaw knives are excellent. Even China Made Kershaw knives are okay if your standard is low enough to accept them.

Cold Steel are always a good cheap beater knife that you can just abuse and discard when you're done with it. But it doesn't always have the best feeling handles.

Fair warning tho, once you realize the true game starts with Zero Tolerance and higher quality, you will never look back. You can beat the crap out of a ZT knife and it will come back asking for more for the years to come.

Not a flipper, but the Spyderco Manix 2 is great! My favorite EDC user. Want a little bigger? - the Manix 2 XL. Keep an eye out on the used market...better bang for the buck! Happy knife hunting.
