Best Budget Knives $30-?

Overseas knives:
For ~$10 you really can't go wrong with a SRM knife. Particularly their rip off of the Sebenza.
I would say that the quality on that particular model at least is on par with anything that costs twice as much from Kershaw's
Chinese line. I'm not a big fan of the Enlan/Bee knives that some people recommend - the edges just don't hold up well. If you want
a big, beefy, gritty Benchmade-like knife check out the Ganzo knives.

Sorry, I don't mean to hurt any feelings. It's obviously not a Sebenza - not even close... but for $10 or so you have to admit it's freaking amazing. I have a lot of custom knife maker friends who I've given them out to as gifts (they're usually used as shop knives) and the response has been 100% positive. I use one all the time and will often carry one if I'm going to a party - if I lose it, big deal - it was only $10!!! I don't support counterfeiting... just honesty...
Huh what?

You should try the kershaw shuffle it's only $18 and with that you get 8cr13mov Steel with a 2-3" blade, screw driver, bottle cap opener and it's super sharp I like mines a lot it's the cheapest yet best quality knife for that price range in my collection

Since SRM has been brought up I'll mention the SRM 707 (the knife CRKT rebrands as the drifter, not a knock-off cause they make them) the Ganzo G714 and the Enlan EL-04 (their own designs but unlicensed Axis lock's) and the EL-01 which actually is a pretty decent "budget beater" (and is their own design, not a knock-off of anything). They're far from "good knives" but they're fun to beat on/practice sharpening/experiment modifying.

I was on line shopping for other things and stumbled on a senrenmu.704 I think the number was. I have never owned anything from them, so actual quality could be anybodies guess, But Ilike the look, and it is dirt cheap. I am gonna try not to buy it, since I have enough knives to last me a few lifetimes. I am honestly a bit disgusted with myself for it. I like the idea of just buying one really good item of a particular type, use it till it needs to be replaced, then replace it. Instead, I've got a dozen or so knives of similar size and usefullness, most of which are barely broken in. You know how cool it is when the 79 year old guy pulls out the knife his dad gave him when he was a young man, and it looks like its been to hades and back, but it still works for him? Well, I will never be that guy, cause I've bought a couple knives a year since Igot married in 98, and I have not been slowing down. I really need to quit. I will enjoy the ones I've got more if Ijust stop buying more.
